...but in case you are curious....keep reading...

My passion for people, travel, contemplative practice, writing, music and public speaking began when I was a small child in Maine, gazing longingly at the ocean...and all the imagined worlds beyond. I traveled internationally for a year before going to Naropa University where I pursued an Interdisciplinary Studies degree I called "Embodied Systems," and spent time living in Nepal. I've been a practicing Buddhist for three decades now, and the simplicity of meditation practice forms the basis of everything I do. I've done lots of things. I launched a business then a podcast then a non-profit. I used to run an international news magazine and served my buddhist teacher and his wife very closely. I've studied, at last count, 14 different languages. I've performed weddings and funerals and a dance in Ukraine. I've lived through divorce, domestic violence, food insecurity and house-less-ness. I've run multiple organizations, been black-balled and lambasted, and still achieved tremendous impact through my work. I now live in central Vermont in the woods in a house I designed and had built surrounded by gardens I've been digging by hand, am raising two incredible small humans on my own, navigating human services oriented work and feeling gosh-danged proud I've managed to wake myself up from trauma and difficulty again and again so I can maybe, just maybe help show the path to others.
