Stepping Out of Conceptual Noise into Genuine Presence

Sarah Lipton is a contemplative teacher, author, and strategic advisor with over 30 years of formal practice in contemplative Buddhist traditions. Rooted in two decades of original curriculum development and direct experience navigating high-stakes organizational systems, Sarah’s work centers on helping artists, visionaries, and leaders step out of conceptual noise and ground directly into the present moment.

As a lifelong writer, podcast host (GENUINE, the podcast), and creator of the Genuine Presence Protocol, Sarah’s passion lies in supporting creatives and leaders to drop beneath the frantic pressure of production and touch the raw, fertile ground of authentic experience. She teaches that true creation and effective action do not spring from force, anxiety, or intellectual straining, but midwife naturally when we take our seat in genuine presence—allowing the work to arise from an unshakeable, embodied core.

The Lineage & Story Behind the Guidance

I do not offer conventional corporate consulting or superficial executive coaching. My work is built on thirty years of deep Buddhist contemplative practice and two decades of original curriculum design, combined with six years navigating the complex, high-friction realities of state government bureaucracy.

I know what it feels like to attempt "planting deep roots in concrete"—and I know how to drop beneath that noise.

My path has always integrated contemplative wisdom, writing, systems work, and human experience. From studying Embodied Systems at Naropa University to living in Nepal, launching non-profits, directing international publications, building a home in the Vermont woods, and raising two children, I have walked through both quiet contemplative rooms and intense personal and organizational fires.

Through every iteration, I learned that we wake up from trauma, institutional friction, and creative stagnation not by hardening, but by deepening our presence. The Genuine Presence Protocol was forged in these real-world fires so that visionaries, creatives, and leaders can hold their seat, untangle paralysis, and create from an unshakeable core.
